My daughters car was laid up for almost a year and I brought it in to the Purcellville shop to get it serviced to include new tires. I knew the State inspection could not be accomplished until the next day and asked the shop to keep it over night and complete the inspection. I later got a call and despite it being on holiday operation, the shop inspector went ahead and did the inspection saving me greatly by not having to deal with it the next day. Really appreciate the extra effort and care exhibited by this team.

Oil Change/ Tire Rotation

I made an appointment to have oil change & tire rotation. Unfortunately the tire rotation did not occur, and I did not realize until about 15 minutes later while on the way home. I called & spoke to the lady & she said to mention next time I come in for service, but wanted to let you know on this survey.

Service Visit

Scheduled an oil change and trans flush and asked to look into possible antifreeze leak. Was told before any tests were done that could need a new motor. Really think should be more positive from the start - caused unnecessary stress and I don't want to go through that again. Turns out there was no problems with the engine but ended up with a bill of $650 for extra tests/labor versus $250 for oil change and trans flush. Will not go back.

The nightmare

My past experience with Hogan & Sons has been positive but the Purceville facility left a lot to be desired. First they never set expectations correctly, what was to take a week dragged on for three weeks. I can understand that when working with an out of state parts supplier things happen but every time I called the car would be ready tomorrow or sometime within the next 48 hours never happened. They supposedly kept in contact by leaving a voice mail at my office to call the shop, minimum details. Finally when given an estimate was told $3,000 with $200 for supplemental work, final bill was $3,600 after a $100 discount. I am definitely an unhappy camper.
