My car started making an awful squealing noise, non-stop. This was a Friday, and of course, it was like pulling teeth to find anyone to take me on a Saturday. Matthews explained that they, too, were booked, but if I could get the car there, they would at least be able to diagnose it, and take it from there. Turns out, my car needed some TLC!! They gave me a quote, which of course made me sad as I was not expecting so much to be wrong with it. But, I was surprised when I picked it up that it was less than they quoted! My car no longer squeals, and has it's pick up and go back :) Thank you especially to Rick, as he was willing to help a girl out even when they were already swamped.

I was a little surprised by the cost to check it out...I was billed 108.00 roughly for checking out the things I had listed that were happening, and I thought I was quoted on the phone that it would be approximately $40.00.When I went to pick it up and pay the initial bill and I questioned it, I was told that that was the charge for your diagnostics you perform and that was the work I had signed off on. I don't think I misheard the gentleman I spoke with initially on the phone, but I would say that had I known it would cost me over $100 just to look at it and diagnose the issues, I would have considered taking it elsewhere. Again, I thought the initial cost was going to be 40 bucks or so to do this.
