Always great people at the Kent shop. Had a small problem this time. Left after the oil change and as I was driving, there was quite a strong oil odor. Figured it was a little over spill. I was in Ravenna and stopped to get gas. I looked under the car and saw oil dripping and forming a pool under the car. It was 10 minutes til closing, so I quickly called Kent. I was told to immediately come back to get the problem resolved. I was told it was a bad oil filter and it was replaced. I have no problem with the service end. I do feel that perhaps the work wasn't thoroughly checked before I left in the first place. Had I not been a bit knowledgeable about cars, or had been driving for a longer distance, I could have lost a lot more oil and perhaps done damage to the engine. This concerns me. It was my daughter's car, and had she been driving, as much as I have tried to teach her, I doubt it would have kicked it that there could be a problem - until it was much larger. I have been bringing my cars to Flynn's for a number of years and have nothing but positive things to say about the treatment I have received. The people are great and I have put my trust in what they have told me about various car issues. That is hard for me to do!! Maybe the car should run for a few minutes before letting it go? I don't know what procedures are - perhaps there is no way to check this, but I wanted to mention it, in case someone is moving a bit too fast. - I could have potentially ended up with a much larger problem perhaps.
